TNGA Brought to Life -- Want a deeper dive into Toyota New Global Architecture? Well, check out this animated infographic.
|
For the past few years, you’ve probably heard the term “TNGA” over and over again at Toyota events.
And you probably know that it’s a new way Toyota is manufacturing cars.
But, do you
really know what that entails?
It occurred to us that Toyota New Global Architecture – or TNGA for short – might be little more than an abstract idea for a lot of team members. After all, it’s an incredibly intricate topic, especially for those who don’t have manufacturing backgrounds.
That’s why we decided to create an animated infographic that sheds a little more light on what TNGA is, how it works and what it will create. We worked with TNGA experts to gather the information, and with the excellent animated infographic geniuses at
Animagraffs to make this happen.
And, since the 2018 Camry – which began production at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky last week – will be the first TNGA vehicle built in North America, the TNGA era is upon us. This seems like the right time to unveil it.
So, here’s the
TNGA infographic.
We think you’ll love going through this piece, and you should absolutely feel free to send the link (again:
pressroom.toyota.com/tnga) to everyone you know.
- Here are three tips to maximize your TNGA infographic viewing experience. It’s a pretty big graphic, so you might want to close out of some other programs so it doesn’t slow down your computer. Even if it does, just wait for it. The animations are worth it.
- Though it will work on Internet Explorer, because this is also an external piece, the infographic is optimized for Chrome or FireFox. It will work on your phone, too!
- You’ll notice lifelike recreations of the 2018 Camry and the 2017 Prius. But you can see them from any angle you want. Just click the “360” button, then click and hold anywhere on the vehicles and move your mouse around. You’ll get the hang of it pretty quickly.
So, just in case you didn’t see the links above, here it is again. To check out the TNGA infographic, go to
pressroom.toyota.com/tnga. Or, click the image at the top of the page. And yes, we hope four links is enough to convince you to click.
Oh, it's not? Here's
one more.
